Well, its official, the Packers and the Steelers will be playing in Super Bowl XLV on February 6, 2011 at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. There has been much anticipation in the Dallas and Fort Worth communities for the upcoming game, and approximately 299 Super Bowl Week events are planned leading up to the game all around the metroplex.

Approximately 250,000 people will be flooding into North Texas the week of the game, and with that many extra people, it is important to take the necessary safety precautions when driving on Dallas highways the weekend of the game.
In 2006 the NHTSA reported that 130 people died during Super Bowl Weekend as the result of impaired driving or alcohol related crashes. The super bowl is always a great reason for a celebration, but people should remember whether they are attending the super bowl, or a super bowl party, that they need to have a designated sober driver in order to avoid becoming a drunk driving statistic.
Here are a few easy tips for staying safe Super Bowl weekend:
•Have the number for a local cab company programmed in your phone
•Designate a sober driver for the evening, before heading out for the day's festivities
•If you are hosting a super bowl party, stop serving alcohol during the third quarter
•If you are attending the super bowl, make sure you are consistently aware of the people around you, and report suspicious looking activities to the police
