Sisters Killed in Car Accident in Fort Worth, Texas
Sisters Wynesha and Wykeila Deanes were Eastbound on Lancaster Avenue when the vehicle lost control and ran into a utility pole on Friday night. The two sisters, ages 16 and 20, were pronounced dead around 11:00 p.m.
A front seat passenger was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.
According to a report from the Fort Worth Police Department, Wynesha Deanes was driving a green Hyundai Sonata well over the speed limit when she lost control of the car and ran into and broke a utility pole. The vehicle rolled over before coming to a stop.
The sisters are both residents of Arlington, Texas, and were on their way home from a church event when the fatal car accident occurred.
My sincere condolences go out to the friends and family of Wynesha and Wykeila Deanes. This accident is a tragic loss to the community. There were 6 million reported car accidents in the United States last year. It is vital to always follow road safety rules to avoid injury while driving. My hope is that by informing people about easy tips to stay safe while driving, there will be less traffic accidents in our area.
