Man Killed in Robertson County Gas Well Blowout
A man was died yesterday in southeastern Robertson County when the rig he was working on leaked and blew out. The oil field accident occurred just after 3 p.m. off FM 1940, 10 miles east of Franklin, Texas near Camp Creek Lake . This gas well site is 30 miles north of Boston, Texas.
When the blast happened, the man was hit by a piece of pipe. He later died at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. He remains unidentified until relatives are notified of his death.
The well is operated by EnCana which is a Canadian company.
